Schaffhausen Triathlon 2010 Ironman Switzerland Ironman 70.3 Rapperswil


The big target, 3.8 km swim, 180 km cycling and 42.2 km run: Ironman . -Infinity, Respect,-emotion-happiness, longing, addiction, organizing training-, tarpaulins,-perseverance,-feeling,-enjoying, so that's all Ironman .
That's it now, the goal is reached in 11 hours and 47 minutes . A unique experience that everyone will finisht which a Ironman well aware of this indescribable feeling of being overwhelmed. It is probably no right words to describe it.
But Ironman is not just the race. Before you can say " I AM AN IRONMAN " many weeks, months and years of training must be completed. Ironman Triathlon is at its best, a way of life. The only way it can build the highest-feeling body, stamina, strength and willpower, which then form the basis of race, enjoy this time completely and finishing.
twelve to sixteen hours a week I was training in the last six months. Swimming, cycling and running. Time and personnel management are in demand, but have family, friends and job are also square.

The race: I went for the Ironman Switzerland Zurich. The first Ironman competition I would like to deny home. My ultimate goal that I have set myself is that I can enjoy the entire route may run and with a good sense of the goal. As a finishing time limit, I would like if possible in 12 hours.


Award Party on the Friday before the race, there goes all right from what. Professionals, amateurs, men and women, young and old, all with the same goal. Ironman

Check the wheel, sleep and concentration on the eve of the competition. And then came the day I do not know when I was more nervous, unbelievable. 4 am Sunday morning off we go, last solid food, a little pasta, rice and lots of drink. Then from to Zurich, still nervous. morning toilet did not work, the stomach was probably still sleeping, the department will respond well in competition.
Arrived in the transition zone, thousands are now at Zurechtpüscheln their own stuff. I have 2 Bidon drink, fortified Powerbargel 8 pieces and salt tablets on the bike. The rich must, every 3 / 4 hours, a gel, a salt tablet and a lot of water. The rest I take directly from the aid stations.
6 clock 30, I'm at the swim start. Wonderful atmosphere before the start. Rest, morning mood great! S chwimmen eaten for luck with Neo, first Powergel and then started walking.

the nervousness away immediately, I enjoy swimming, I see the ground in Lake Zurich, morning sun, thousands of triathletes Boats and buoys, it's really fun.
Well swum back into the transition area, the stomach reports that he was awake now, so off to the toilet.
Small breakfast, a banana, and already I'm sitting on the bike makes it fun to me, the occasional mishap, the chain fell out but sons went well.
T olle mood in Zurich, and especially the Free Radicals are the best fans. It was really great! went with the food's good. The 3 / 4 hourly supply of Powergel and salt tablets ranges from full, so I had to 180km never stomach problems.
Arrived in the transition zone, once ate a banana and down to 42.2 km run course. I felt good, moved from the start on Coke, water, and took on all 3 / 4 hours Powergel

I was able to finish the Ironman as I myself also desired.
