case of quantitative research methods, there are three classical criteria as in the experimental study design, in some cases can also be calculated - but how to best scientific methods be evaluated? If they can not because they charge less?
NO!
First, the three so-called classical criteria - often been criticized (eg, Sandra Harding, 1994) - especially the objectivity. Second, it is not just a predictable factors when scientific quality is discussed. In the evaluation of scientific work, it plays an essential role, whether the methods used are adequate and whether the lessons learned are important (including this significance is thus composed as a method is of good quality and was executed in a particular case).
why you should ask yourself some questions:
- Raise the method really what is discussed in the hypothesis or research question? Is
- the method described so that they can be enacted?
- What lessons are to be won in what context - the method can it?
- etc.
